Cold Cuts Calzone

Ingredients

For 2 people

  • 1/4 pound(s) salami
  • 1/4 pound(s) mortadella, beef, pork
  • 1/4 cup(s) shredded cheese, mozzarella
  • 2 cheese slices, provolone
  • 1 pinch(es) butter
  • 1 pinch(es) grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 bread dough, white enriched, frozen loaves
  • 1 dash(es) spices, oregano, dried
  • 1 dash(es) spices, parsley, dried
  • 1 dash(es) garlic
  • 1 dash(es) salt, table
  • 1 dash(es) spices, pepper, black
  • 1/4 pound(s) ham, sliced, regular (approximately 11% fat)

Directions

  1. Thaw the bread dough according to directions on the package. Then spread it out in a flat surface so that it is in the shape of a bread loaf (only tripled in width and flat). Melt the butter and add spices you like, together with a few dustings of grated Parmesan cheese to the melted butter. The butter mixture can then be spread on the flattened dough. Then layer the salami, other cold cuts and Provolone cheese on 1/2 of the dough. Then you can sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese over the top. Then fold over the bread dough, squeezing the edges together with your fingers. Place the dough on a rack in a flat baking pan with sides. Bake it in the oven about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. You can tell if it is done if it has browned on the surface of the dough. Take it out and slice it like you should bread.
