Easy Ways to Get Your Water

You know you're supposed to drink those eight glasses a day, but water can be so...boring. But take heart - there are lots of ways to incorporate water into your daily diet without having to tote around a gallon jug of H2O. When you wake up in the morning, the first thing you should do is guzzle a glass. It'll help rehydrate your body and skin. If you drink juice with breakfast, then fill your glass halfway with water and halfway with juice. You'll cut the juice's calories as well. If you need a hot drink, then try hot lemon water. Add sweetness with a bit of honey. If you're stuck at a desk all day, then get a large glass or container for your water and keep refilling it.

Use a drinking straw - you'll drink more and take bigger gulps as you drink. Try adding some flavor to your water. A slice of lemon or lime, a few raspberries or a packet of Splenda can all liven up your glass of H20. Freeze bits of citrus fruit or berries and use them in place of ice to add some cool flavor. You can even toss in a sprig of fresh mint and cool cucumber. Find a great, sugar-free addition like Crystal Light or fitness water to add to your drink. There are many ways to make water more interesting. If you aren't a big fan of water, it may seem difficult to consume 64 ounces a day. By adding a flavorful element here and there, you're less likely to get bored.
