Autumn Ham Slices

Don't wait for thanksgiving for the tastes of it.This seasonal dish incorporates all the savory flavors of fall and is reminiscent of holiday meals. Easy, hearty and warmingly perfect for a chilly weeknight supper.

Autumn Ham Slices


For 2 people

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 1 (14 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
  • 1 -2 green onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) ground black pepper
  • 2 slices cooked ham
  • 2 tablespoon(s) -3 water


In a skillet melt the butter over medium heat. Add in whole cranberry sauce, green onions, water, mustard, brown sugar, ginger and black pepper; bring to a boil, mixing constantly then simmer about 3 minutes. Adjust the ginger, brown sugar and pepper to taste if desired. Add in the ham slices and cook for 3-4 minutes.
