Baking Mix

Baking can be quick without being Bisquick. This recipe for basic baking mix can be whipped up ahead of time and kept on hand for recipes that call for it, or you can use it as the base for your own culinary creation.


Baking Mix


For 12 people

  • 6 cup(s) flour
  • 9 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cup(s) butter flavored Crisco shortening


Stir flour and baking powder together. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Store in a container with tight fitting lid.
