Black Beans
Everyone knows that beans are good for the heart. This bean dish is also a simple star that pairs well with any meal. Be sure to simmer the beans over low heat for about 10 minutes to give the flavors a chance to blend together.
Ingredients
For 4 people
- 2 cup(s) black beans
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon(s) chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
- 1 dash(es) salt, to taste
Directions
In a medium saucepan, combine beans, onion, and garlic, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Season with cilantro, cayenne, and salt. Simmer for 10 minutes, and serve.
