Bouncy Play-Dough

This kid craft is a great way to get the little ones into the kitchen. This play dough bounces like silly putty and lasts about a week.

Bouncy Play-Dough


For 3 people

  • 1 cup(s) water
  • 1 cup(s) flour
  • 1/2 cup(s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) cream of tartar, heaping
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) cooking oil
  • 1 food coloring (it works best without)


Mix oil and water in bowl. Whisk in flour, salt and cream of tartar. Heat on medium in a saucepan and keep stirring until it clumps up into a ball. Take out of saucepan and kneed well until cool. Sieve some flour on to it and kneed, repeat until desired consistency is reached. Store in airtight container in fridge when not in use.
