Cabbage & Beef Casserole

Beef up your cabbage with this delicious dish. The medley tastes similar to stuffed peppers -- but without the peppers. Chock full of flavors this home cooked beef meal will have your family begging for seconds.

Cabbage & Beef Casserole


For 6 people

  • 24 ounce(s) chopped cabbage
  • 16 ounce(s) ground beef sirloin, browned
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 3/4 cup(s) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup(s) uncooked rice
  • 1 3/4 cup(s) low fat vegetable broth
  • 1 dash(es) salt
  • 1 dash(es) pepper


Mix all ingredients except broth together in large bowl. Transfer to 9x13 inches baking dish and pour broth over the top. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 60 minutes, then uncovered for 30 minutes (or until rice is cooked). If it starts to dry out before rice cooks, add 1/2 cup water over top and stir.
