Creamy Angel Hair Pasta
This recipe is delicious as is, but can be modified to incorporate your favorites, like sauteed mushrooms or peppers, or whatever other veggies are in your fridge.
Ingredients
For 4 people
- 8 ounce(s) angel hair pasta
- 4 tablespoon(s) butter
- 1 cup(s) chopped onion
- 2 teaspoon(s) crushed garlic
- 1 tablespoon(s) flour
- 1 1/2 cup(s) evaporated milk
- 14 1/2 ounce(s) canned, Italian-style diced tomatoes
- 1 cup(s) frozen peas
- 3 ounce(s) bacon bits
- 1/2 cup(s) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
Boil pasta in salted water for 4 minutes and drain. While pasta is cooking, heat butter in a large sauté pan. Cook onions and garlic 5 minutes. Stir in flour and blend in evaporated milk. Bring to boil stirring constantly. Add peas, tomatoes and bacon. Stir in drained pasta, sprinkle with cheese and season with pepper. Toss and serve.
