Creamy Tomato Soup
I love this soup from my head tomatoes! Creamy and tasty! This soup goes well with a slice of sourdough baguette or with a side salad! You can never go wrong with creamy tomato soup.
Ingredients
For 8 people
- 29 ounce(s) diced tomato can
- 1 1/3 cup(s) condensed chicken broth, undiluted (10.5-oz can)
- 2 tablespoon(s) margarine
- 6 teaspoon(s) white sugar
- 1/10 teaspoon(s) chopped onion
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) baking soda
- 32 tablespoon(s) heavy whipping cream
Directions
In a large stock pot add tomatoes, chicken broth, butter, sugar, onion and baking soda. Simmer for 1 hour. In a double boiler heat cream until hot. You can also use a small saucepan over low heat. Make sure the cream does not burn. Once heated, add to tomato soup and serve.
