Skip the sub shop and bring the deli to your kitchen. Incredibly easy to make and much cheaper than dining out, try this tasty choice instead of plain old sandwiches. Switch up the meats and cheeses for a fresh fix every time.

For 6 people

  • 1/2 cup(s) mayo
  • 1/4 cup(s) Italian dressing
  • 3 cup(s) shredded lettuce
  • 1 loaf Italian bread, cut in half lengthwise
  • 9 ounce(s) deli sliced meat, any variety
  • 6 slices cheese
  • 1 large tomato, sliced thin
  • 1 medium green pepper, sliced thin


  1. Mix mayo and dressing. Toss lettuce with 1/4 cup of the mayo mixture. Brush cut surfaces of bread with remaining mayo mixture. Fill bread with meat, cheese slices, tomato, green pepper, and lettuce mixture. Cut into serving pieces.
