Dream Steak
Filet mignon is succulent enough to stand on its own. But when you prepare it with this amazing sauce, it's absolutely out of this world. No one will know it took less than 30 minutes to prepare!
Ingredients
For 2 people
- 2 (6 oz.) filet mignon, thawed
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoon(s) butter
- 1 teaspoon(s) Dijon-style mustard
- 2 tablespoon(s) shallots, minced
- 1 tablespoon(s) butter
- 1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon(s) fresh chives, minced
- 1/8 ounce(s) Brandy
- 1 tablespoon(s) fresh parsley, minced
Directions
Season both sides of steak with salt and pepper. Melt butter in a heavy skillet; add mustard and shallots. Sauté over medium heat 1 minute. Add steaks and cook approximately 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove steaks to serving plate and keep warm. Add into pan drippings, 1 tbsp. butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and chives. Cook for 2 minutes. Add brandy; pour sauce over steaks. Sprinkle parsley over the top.
