Famous Meatballs
Make room for meatballs. There's no need for spaghetti. These famous meatballs are good enough to stand on their own. The rice gives them more filling for a non-traditional variation on this Italian staple.
Ingredients
For 6 people
- 24 ounce(s) lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup(s) raw rice
- 1/2 cup(s) onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup(s) green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 10 1/2 ounce(s) can of tomato soup
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
Directions
In mixing bowl combine ground beef, rice, onion, green pepper, egg, salt, and pepper; mix well to blend and shape meat mixture into 24 meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter; place meatballs in crockpot. Pour soup over meatballs. Cover and slow cook for 7 to 8 hours.
