Horseradish Sesame Tuna Salad
Forget about wasabi; good old American horseradish makes this tuna salad every bit as lively. It may be a slight deviation from the norm. However, you'll still be singing this tuna.
Ingredients
For 1 people
- 1 tablespoon(s) horseradish
- 8 tablespoon(s) sour cream
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) chives
- 1/4 cup(s) soy sauce
- 1/8 cup(s) sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
- 1 6-oz. tuna filet
- 1 mixed greens serving
Directions
1. For horseradish cream sauce, mix first three ingredients.
2. Marinate tuna in soy sauce at least 2 hours covered in refrigerator in nonreactive pan.
3. Sprinkle with sesame seeds until well covered.
4. Sear in olive oil over high head on both sides, about 3 minutes.
5. Place tuna over mixed greens. Serve with horseradish cream sauce.
Did you know most "wasabi" sold in the U.S. isn't really wasabi? Much of it is actually horseradish that's tinted green.
