La Caprese
You don’t need to go to Capri to have this special dish; it’s more than a salad, especially if the mozzarella is the real deal!
Ingredients
For 6 people
- 32 ounce(s) Fresh Mozzarella
- 8 roma tomatoes, sliced ¼ in. thick
- 2 tablespoon(s) Fresh basil, or as much as desired
- 2 tablespoon(s) Extra-virgin olive oil, or as much as desired
- 1 teaspoon(s) sea salt, to taste
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions
Slice the mozzarella in 1/4 in. slices. On a serving platter, arrange mozzarella and tomato slices, alternating and overlapping a bit. Top with basil. Drizzle with olive oil, season salt and pepper.
This can be assembled in just a few minutes at the party. It is a great salad and looks great too.
