Lemon Shrimp and Grits

Shrimp can stand on its own -- but when served with creamy grits it's a completely new culinary experience. Tart and creamy make a great team!


Lemon Shrimp and Grits

Ingredients

For 4 people

  • 5 1/4 floz water
  • 10 2/3 tablespoon(s) heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup(s) quick white grits
  • 1 dash(es) salt, to taste
  • 3 bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1/4 cup(s) shredded spinach
  • 3 tablespoon(s) shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/10 cup(s) white wine & lemon sauce

Directions

For the grits, combine water and heavy cream in heavy saucepan; bring to boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Add bacon, spinach and Parmesan cheese. Season to taste. Season the shrimp and grill them. Place 3 oz. grits in center of hot plate. Arrange three shrimp around grits. Pour lemon sauce over each shrimp.
