Lemon-Infused Green Beans

Lemon-Infused Green Beans


For 4 people

  • 453 2/3 grams fresh tender green beans (1 lb.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) dried whole basil
  • 2 teaspoon(s) sesame seeds, toasted
  • 4 ounce(s) sliced red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon(s) lemon peel


Wash and cut ends from green beans. Cook beans, red pepper and basil covered in a small amount of boiling water 6 to 8 minutes until crisp tender. Drain, and toss with lemon juice and sesame seeds. Garnish with shaved lemon rind.
