Mashed Potatoes

Creamy mashed potatoes go well with just about any meal, and this version is sure to keep your spuds moist and creamy, even when called on to feed an army. For added flavor, mix in some roasted garlic and chives, or boil the potatoes with some fresh sprigs of thyme.

Mashed Potatoes


For 5 people

  • 30 small to medium potatoes (10 lbs)
  • 4 sticks of butter (1 lb)
  • 16 ounce(s) cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 4 cup(s) sour cream
  • 1 dash(es) salt
  • 1 dash(es) pepper


Bake the potatoes and when ready, mash them in a mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and keep mashing them until they are creamy. Serve topped with country gravy or gravy of choice.
