Peak-of-the-Garden-Season Pasta
This is gourmet Italian cooking at its finest. Indulge in a flavorful marinara sauce that's better than any jar of sauce.
Ingredients
For 6 people
- 16 ounce(s) capellini, cooked al dente
- 8 tablespoon(s) extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper
- 6 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 6 large tomatoes, chopped (4-6)
- 2 tablespoon(s) fresh basil, chopped
- 3 ounce(s) Parmesan cheese, shredded
Directions
Add olive oil to large skillet and saute garlic and crushed red pepper together about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, pepper, and salt, continue to cook until tomatoes are tender 10-15 minutes. Add basil; cook 5 additional minutes. Combine all ingredients and serve hot topped with shredded Parmesan cheese.
