Salad Dressing Mix

Pass on the packets of salad dressing mix and make your own instead. With just a few simple ingredients and a couple of minutes preparation, you'll have a perfect, homemade mix to compliment fresh salads and sandwiches. Simply add your choice of oil or mayo to make a scrumptious spread.

Salad Dressing Mix


For 1 people

  • 1/3 cup(s) parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon(s) garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon(s) onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon(s) paprika
  • 1 tablespoon(s) celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon(s) sesame seed


  1. Mix ingredients and store in an airtight container.
  2. Will keep for several months.
  3. To use in an oil-and-vinegar dressing: Mix 1 tbsp mix with 1/4 cup vinegar, 2 tbsp water, and 2/3 cup oil in a covered container. Shake vigorously.
  4. To use with mayonnaise or yogurt as a salad dressing: Mix 1 tbsp mix with 1/4 cup mayonnaise and 1 tbsp water in a covered container.
  5. Shake vigorously.
  6. To use with mayonnaise, yogurt or sour cream as a dip: Mix 1 tbsp mix with 1/4 cup of spread.
