Salad Dressing Mix
Pass on the packets of salad dressing mix and make your own instead. With just a few simple ingredients and a couple of minutes preparation, you'll have a perfect, homemade mix to compliment fresh salads and sandwiches. Simply add your choice of oil or mayo to make a scrumptious spread.
Ingredients
For 1 people
- 1/3 cup(s) parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon(s) garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon(s) onion powder
- 1 tablespoon(s) paprika
- 1 tablespoon(s) celery seed
- 1 tablespoon(s) sesame seed
Directions
- Mix ingredients and store in an airtight container.
- Will keep for several months.
- To use in an oil-and-vinegar dressing: Mix 1 tbsp mix with 1/4 cup vinegar, 2 tbsp water, and 2/3 cup oil in a covered container. Shake vigorously.
- To use with mayonnaise or yogurt as a salad dressing: Mix 1 tbsp mix with 1/4 cup mayonnaise and 1 tbsp water in a covered container.
- Shake vigorously.
- To use with mayonnaise, yogurt or sour cream as a dip: Mix 1 tbsp mix with 1/4 cup of spread.
