Scrumptious Shrimp
If you like to soak up broths with breads and eat with your fingers, this gourmet dish will be right up your alley. Shrimp it up and enjoy every bite. It's finger lickin' good!
Ingredients
For 4 people
- 1 floz dried rosemary
- 2 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
- 1/10 floz fennel seeds
- 1 teaspoon(s) black pepper
- 5 teaspoon(s) cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
- 1 teaspoon(s) celery seed
- 1 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper flakes
- 8 cup(s) low-sodium chicken broth
- 8 floz clam juice
- 6 tablespoon(s) tomato paste
- 1 butter
- 8 floz white wine
- 24 ounce(s) raw peeled shrimp, with tails
- 1 loaf French bread, for dipping
Directions
Partially break up the rosemary, thyme, and fennel seed with fingers or mortar/pestle. Place all ingredients, except wine and shrimp, in a large pot. Simmer for about 30 minutes and add wine. Continue to simmer for a total cooking time of no more than 2 hours. Just before serving, add raw shrimp. Simmer until shrimp is done, stirring, about 2 minutes. Serve. Each bowl should contain a serving of shrimp and a lot of broth, which should almost completely cover the shrimp.
