Sherry-Cherry Trifle
If cherries aren't your thing, substitute blueberries, strawberries or any other fruit in its place. Regardless of which fruit you choose, this dessert is heavenly.
Ingredients
For 6 people
- 1 cup(s) confectioners' sugar
- 3 ounce(s) cream cheese, softened
- 16 tablespoon(s) nondairy whipped topping
- 40 ounce(s) angel food cake, cubed (5 cups)
- 1 floz sweet sherry
- 2 2/3 cup(s) cherry pie filling (1-21-oz. can)
Directions
In large bowl, beat sugar and cheese until fluffy. Beat in whipped topping and add the sherry. Fold in cake cubes. Spoon into a glass round or square cake pan. Spread pie filling over the top. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
