Turkey & Veggie in Lahvosh Rolls
Put boring PB&J out of its misery and opt for this Middle-Eastern marvel. Made with lahvosh bread, this wrap is full of vegetables and flavors. It's a refreshing break from the same old sandwiches that grow tiresome over time.
Ingredients
For 2 people
- 1 large sheet of soft lahvosh
- 1 cup(s) tomato sauce
- 1 cup(s) mild salsa
- 1/2 pound(s) fresh spinach leaves
- 1/2 pound(s) roasted turkey breast, thinly sliced
- 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 small zucchini, thinly sliced
- 2 cup(s) mozzarella and parmesan cheese, grated and mixed
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Arrange the lahvosh on a sheet pan. Brush them with the tomato sauce. Spoon the salsa over the sauce. Layer the spinach leaves, the turkey, the red pepper, onion and zucchini on top of the salsa. Top with grated cheese. Heat in the oven just until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes. Fold in the sides of the lahvosh, roll them tightly, starting with the long end, and allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Cut into four portions and serve. Ready in 20 min.
