When you're doing some soul searching to satisfy that snack attack, it's important not to overdo it. Limit yourself to one serving. If you're looking for a "free" food that will cost you little in calories and carbs to quell your cravings, these are fair game: salad greens, sugar-free or unflavored gelatin, gum, bouillon, club soda, flavored water, unsweetened tea or coffee. Brussels sprouts, broccoli and beans can also be enjoyed ad nauseam without the whole guilt factor. Of course, you can enjoy all of your other favorite snacks - so long as it's done in moderation. Remember that just because it's healthy doesn't mean it can't be fattening.
