Try not to be a spoiled sport. When you join a group activity, make the goal of your participation to have fun and get a good workout. Far too many people take whatever sport they're playing too seriously. The end result is that they walk away from the game feeling frustrated or angry. So long as you're getting exercise and enjoying yourself, the end goal has been met. Team sports have myriad benefits, not the least of which is improving your health. Sports like football, softball, ultimate Frisbee, kickball and even paintball can get a good sweat going and get you outside to enjoy the fresh spring air. Practices and competitions can be great opportunities to get off the couch a few times a week and get a workout.
