Sorbets are super-satisfying substitutes for ice cream, and you can even make them yourself. Simply puree fruit in the blender, add your choice of calorie-free sweetener, and freeze. They make a great alternative to store-bought sorbets, which tend to be fat-free...but not low in calories due to their high sugar content. There's nothing wrong with enjoying some ice cream or frozen yogurt on a warm day - just be sure to monitor portion control. Those pints in the freezer look like the perfect size, but they contain up to four servings. Eat the whole thing, and you stand a good chance of consuming your entire calorie, fat, sugar or cholesterol allowance for the entire day!
