Time to Make the Donuts
To begin, pour your cooking oil into a large frying pan with 2-3 inch straight sides and put on medium heat. Then remove the biscuits from the can and separate them into individual biscuits. Use your finger or a thimble to cut out a hole in the middle of each biscuit. When the oil is hot, drop each donut into the oil, making sure to leave enough room so they don't touch or they will stick together.
The donuts will turn golden brown rather quickly, under a minute per side (the second side will cook faster than the first), so be sure to pay attention and turn/remove them when browned. Then take the sugar and cinnamon and pour them in the paper bag. When the donuts are done cooking, use tongs to remove them from the oil and drop them in the paper bag. Make sure to close the top of the bag with your hand and shake the bag around to coat your donuts.
Voila! A delicious batch of homemade donuts in less time than it takes to drive to the store and back.
You can also repeat the frying and coating process with your leftover "donut holes," just keep an eye on the pan, because those little holes will fry up fast!
