After the ball drops at midnight, marking the beginning of a new year, the Leo moon forms a difficult aspect to Uranus. We'll be entering 2021 with apprehension and perhaps a bit of pragmatism. We may be feeling a little reserved in our New Year's resolutions after a traumatic 2020, but try not to let this take away from your goals. While there will likely be some fear around the unknown or unexpected, don't let it detract from your optimism or ability to wish for a brighter tomorrow. Watch out for emotional triggers as well, and try to keep the conversation light.

Later in the morning, an unbalanced aspect between the sun and moon could create some feelings of unworthiness and perhaps a bit of an ego hit. You might feel emotionally raw and unable to reconcile these feelings. The beginning of the year can be hard for some people because there can be sorrow around the passage of time and goals not yet met. Remember to breaths and be gentle with yourself.

Luckily, as night falls, the moon begins to form gentle aspects to the north node and Venus. Use the energy here to bring your mind to a new positive place, and be sure to reconnect with yourself in a loving and nurturing way.
