Chicken in Velvet Gravy
Ruffle a feather or two with this baked chicken in velvet gravy. It's the ultimate crowd pleaser that's tender and moist without tasting dried out.
Ingredients
For 5 people
- 16 ounce(s) chicken breast, sliced
- 3 tablespoon(s) butter
- 4 1/2 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) black pepper
- 1/10 ounce(s) rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) tarragon
- 2 cup(s) milk
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 dash(es) salt
Directions
- Melt butter over medium heat in saucepan. Stir in flour, herbs, black pepper; cook and stir for 2-3 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Add bouillon cubes; cook and stir over heat until gravy thickens and bubbles for one minute.
- Stir-fry the slices of chicken breast and cover with gravy.
