Baked Apple in Sauce

This awesome apple treat is hard to beat. When you're in search of a diabetes-friendly recipe, this is sure to be the apple of your eye. It's good to the core and will fit in with your healthy eating regimen.

Baked Apple in Sauce


For 6 people

  • 5 cup(s) sugar-free Comstock apples, pre-sliced
  • 3/4 cup(s) butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup(s) all natural maple flavor sugar free syrup
  • 3/4 cup(s) flour
  • 1/2 cup(s) oats


Heat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. To apples, add lemon juice, Sweet 'N Low, syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg. Blend well. Put into prepared baking dish. In separate bowl, add oats and flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and Sweet 'N Low. Add softened butter and blend until dry ingredients and butter become crumbly and well mixed. Pour over the apples. If more topping is desired, increase ingredients. Bake for 45 minutes.
