When you're on the go and thirsty, it's always convenient to grab a soda or an energy drink. However, most of the time you're sucking down an abundance of caffeine and sugar. A 32-ounce soda from McDonald's has 310 calories and 86 grams of sugar. Surprisingly, a 12-ounce serving of Gatorade Performance series isn't much better with 310 calories and 42 grams of sugar. If you think those energy drinks are any better, guess again. A 23-ounce bottle of Jolt Energy has a whopping 94 grams of sugar. An 8-ounce can of Red Bull has 27 grams of sugar. It goes without saying that those Mountain Dews will do you wrong - a 12-ounce can packs a sugary punch with 47 grams of the sweet stuff. Even the seemingly unobtrusive Dr. Pepper has a whopping 41 grams of sugar for 12 ounces.
