Must-Have Holiday Dishes
Meat Noodle Kugel
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1/2 lb. wide egg noodles
- 1lb chopped meat (can use fresh raw or leftover pre-cooked)
- 3 eggs
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup corn flake crumbs
- 1 pkg. brown gravy mix
In a large skillet sauté chopped onion in oil, if using uncooked meat, add meat and cook until no longer pink.
Boil noodles until just al dente, drain and return to pot. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, salt, pepper, corn flake crumbs and gravy mix. Add the onions and cooked meat to the noodles and pour the gravy mixture over top. Mix well and transfer to a greased casserole dish.
Bake for 30 minutes or until browned.
